De Fiets Verlicht (the lighted bicycle ride)

Every year in Eindhoven they put up lighted billboards all over the city on a bicycle route to celebrate the independence of the Netherlands. So, we went cycling on the route with Soile and Jerry's family. At the end of the route they have a pond that is all lit up and decorated with smurfs. They also had an ice cream truck and a soup stand with the best split pea soup I have ever had.

This is our bike trailer. The kids love it. They look so cute sitting side by side like that.

The Eindhoven Ward

We love our new ward. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful. These are some photos of ward members that I took when they invited us to their homes for dinner.
This is Daisy and Soile. They love to hold Ethan. He is the only baby in the ward right now, so he is very popular. Soile is from Sweden, but she speaks English. Daisy is from the states I think, but also speaks very fluent Dutch. She gave Collin a whole closet full of toys when we arrived and she gave us a crib for Ethan.

Speel Park de Splinter

All of these photos were taken at a park that is about a 10 minute walk from our house. It is a beautiful park. It has animals and a pond and a lot of fun equipment. It is a very popular park around here, so it is nice to have it so close to home

Sightseeing

This was one of our first trips out together. It was raining so Collin was hiding under the blanket in the stroller.

This photo was taken on campus at the University. The campus is very nice, lots of water and trees and interesting sculptures.

Anyone who knows Collin can imagine his reaction when he saw the bowling pin sculpture. He was yelling "big bowling, big bowling". This sculpture is located near campus in the city centre.

Home Sweet Home

Here are a few pictures of our little place. Which was actually a lot bigger than we were expecting. It is not as nice as our new condo in Lehi, but better than some of the student housing we rented in Provo, so we are not complaining.

Johnny getting ready to take out the garbage. As you can see the kitchen is small. Cooking on that little stove has been interesting. I am just doing my best not to burn the place down. Our little washing machine is there in the bottom left corner.

One of Collin's favorite things to do now is sit up on the kitchen counter while I make him scrambled eggs.

Collin and Ethan playing blocks in our living room. Collin would stack the blocks up and let Ethan knock them down. It is fun to see them starting to interact with each other.
